OddBird Café | Front of House

OddBird Café is seeking hospitality-focused and detail-oriented Baristas to support daily coffee and beverage operations while contributing to a welcoming and efficient café environment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality coffee, guest experience, and being part of a collaborative team.

The Barista supports beverage execution and Front of House flow while helping maintain a consistent, quality-driven, and hospitality-focused café experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso beverages, coffee, and café drinks according to OddBird Café standards
• Maintain consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and speed of service
• Support daily bar operations and Front of House workflow
• Maintain a clean, organized, and service-ready bar environment
• Communicate clearly with team members during service periods
• Assist guests with menu questions and offer thoughtful recommendations without being pushy
• Help educate guests on how to experience OddBird Café (including drinks, food pairings, and seasonal offerings)
• Support restocking, prep, and overall bar organization
• Follow daily opening, closing, and operational procedures
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and hospitality-focused team environment

Qualifications

• Barista or café experience preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
• Interest in coffee and willingness to learn beverage skills and standards
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (7–9 hours)
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
• Comfortable working around espresso equipment, hot liquids, and café equipment
