OddBird Café is seeking a hospitality-driven Front of House Manager to lead guest experience, daily service operations, and team development in a counter-order, table-delivery café.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on the floor, enjoys building teams, and takes pride in creating a consistent, welcoming environment for both guests and staff. You’ll work closely with ownership to help shape and carry forward OddBird’s culture of warmth, care, and thoughtful service.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily front-of-house operations, including service flow, floor management, and overall guest experience
- Set, teach, and uphold hospitality standards across all FOH positions
- Build, train, and support FOH team members and Shift Leads
- Manage café-wide scheduling, including staffing, labor, and shift coverage
- Ensure a smooth, welcoming guest experience from ordering through table delivery
- Partner with BOH leadership to align communication, timing, and service execution
- Oversee beverage operations through the Lead Barista, ensuring quality, workflow, and training consistency
- Manage POS systems, menu updates, and cash handling procedures
- Maintain FOH systems, organization, and operational consistency
- Engage with guests proactively and handle feedback with professionalism and care
- Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency, team performance, and overall guest experience
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years FOH leadership experience (café, coffee shop, or casual dining)
- Strong floor leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Experience with scheduling and labor management preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of coffee, espresso, and café beverage standards
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to work mornings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods
- ServSafe Food Handler (or ability to obtain)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (7–9 hours per shift)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
- Ability to work around major food allergens
- Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels
- Ability to operate standard café and coffee equipment
